Hudson Opera House and Diamond Opera Theater invite you to join in a joyous celebration of Mozart’s 251st Birthday. The evening will feature Diamond Opera Theater soloists and the audience will become the chorus for a SING-through of Mozart’s monumental REQUIEM. Refreshements will be served at the break.

Hudson Opera House and Diamond Opera Theater invite you to join them in a celebration of Mozart’s 251st Birthday with an audience-participation SING-through of Mozart’s monumental REQUIEM. Gwen Gould, Music Director of Diamond Opera Theater will conduct, with Michael Clement at the piano.

Ms. Gould is a native of Millbrook, NY, where she studied piano at an early age and began her performing career as an organist at age 13. A national competition finalist, she performed extensively as a solo recitalist in New York City and the greater metropolitan area. She developed a career as an organist and director of music in New York City, working at St. Bartholomew¹s Church, The Church of St. Luke in the Fields, Immanuel Lutheran Church, and the Church of Our Savior. Ms. Gould received a Bachelor of Music from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, and a Master of Sacred Music from Union Theological Seminary School of Sacred Music in New York City. She held teaching posts at Stuart Hall in Staunton, VA, and at St. Luke's School, NYC. Ms. Gould resides in the Town of Claverack with her husband, Ed Grossman.

Michael Clement, pianist, is currently the staff accompanist at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, and holds the position of Master of Music at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Albany. He was formerly the Music Director of Opera Excelsior and has worked in California both as the director of the University of California at Long Beach Opera Theater and for the Long Beach Grand Opera. He currently performs chamber music recitals and gives coaching throughout the capital district of New York State.
